MYAH ASHA JEFFERS (b. 1994) is a London-born, Barbados-raised photographer, writer and director for film & TV.

Her work focuses on witnessing and documenting the nuances of daily life within diasporic communities - enabling her to build meaningful relationships with the people; ultimately transposing these connections into visually arresting, honest work.

Myah's debut short film BATHSHEBA world premiered at Inside Out Film Festival (2024) and had its UK premiere at S.O.U.L. Film Festival winning Best Performance and garnering nominations for Best Film and Best Director.

Myah was selected as one of four emerging writers for the DWDP TV writing scheme (2025), supported by Left Bank Pictures (SONY) and National Film & Television School. She is currently developing a legal thriller (6x45) and a musical drama (6x30).

Myah’s photographs have featured in a host of publications including VOGUE, The Guardian, ELLE, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Independent, Aesthetica Magazine, It’s Nice That and British Journal of Photography.
